Access to Water: For most of the year, water is available from a stream by hiking east down Barrett Mountain half way down to where a wide ski trail crosses and there is a small bridge. If you need water and the stream is dry or you would prefer tested potable water, hike to the Barn just above the Swimming Pond on the trail map. There is a hydrant located on the western corner with well water. Caution: The hydrant is not a pump. To operate it, lift the handle up as far as it goes and be sure to leave it in the down position when you are done. You may need to disconnect a garden hose first.
Overnight Parking: Now located in our upper parking lot, Overnight Parking is permitted with your stay and it is necessary to inform us of the make, model, color, and state plates of the vehicle being left overnight.
Special Notice to Wapack Trail Hikers:
The Wapack Trail passes through Windblown property and many other privately owned lands. Our neighbor closed the section of the Wapack Trail that crossed his land just to the east of Windblown which included Stony Top and the Old Farm Trail. The Wapack Trail has been re-routed through Windblown. Please honor private property signs.
